Traveling north through Wales, we stopped in Wrexham just a week after their professional soccer team won a third consecutive promotion into a higher division of the English football leagues. This has never been done before in the top five divisions of English football! They were having an event at their home stadium to celebrate while we were in town, so we purchased tickets and joined in.
We also stopped at another truly unique climbing gym. This one was just over the border in the English metropolis of Manchester. Housed in an old church, it was a spectacular venue for climbing.
