You know you’re in New Zealand when you are checking in to your camp site site for the night & the woman at the reception desk says, “Sorry, there will be penguins in your camp site tonight. We apologize.” Sure enough, the cute little buggers were waddling all over the neighborhood late in the evening. We had at least two nesting under the van! They brayed like donkeys on helium periodically throughout the night!
