Oxford

Our next stop is the intellectual center of the UK, Oxford. Needless to stay, we didn’t feel entirely comfortable there, IQ wise ; p Fortunately, we did have the brain power to appreciate the incredible architecture of the numerous colleges and cathedrals that populate the city.

The Radcliffe Camera, built in 1737 to house the Radcliffe Science Library.

The Divinity School, built between 1427 and 1483, it is the oldest surviving purpose-built building for university use, specifically for lectures, oral exams and discussions on theology.

Here’s a gallery of photos from our visit to Christ Church College, which was founded by King Henry VIII in 1546. It is the second wealthiest college in Oxford, after St John’s, and its alumni include 13 British Prime Ministers, 17 Archbishops, King Edward VII and the author Lewis Carroll
