Le Petit Balcon Sud

We were able to get in two hikes during our stay in the Chamonix valley. The first was across a portion of Le Petit Balcon Sud, which traverses the hillside that overlooks the Chamonix valley opposite the Mont Blanc Massif. The trail is purported to have incredible views of the Massif on a clear day, including such iconic peaks as the Aiguille Verte, the Grandes Jorasses and Mont Blanc itself. Unfortunately, it wasn’t clear on the day we hiked Le Petit Balcon Sud. Here are a few pics of what we did see tho : )

We did get a brief glimpse of the Arguille Verte as we started our hike from the valley floor ...
