Christchurch is the largest city on the South Island of New Zealand with a population of over 400,000. We passed through the city on our way up the east coast, and spent a day strolling on the beach front promenade, and visiting the impressive Hagley Park and Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
The New Brighton Pier. Unfortunately, we weren’t prepared for the wind and cold … brrr.
The Peacock Fountain, Christchurch Botanic Gardens
The Cardiocrinum giganteum and Chris. Also known as the Giant Himalayan Lily and Chris. Christchurch Botanic Gardens
… and, we stumbled onto a Bull Terrier show!!
We’ll leave you with a pic of the handsome gent … or lady?? Hard to tell from this angle ; P
Christchurch. I’ve always loved that name. So blatantly reverential, despite the heathens . . . and the bull terriers . . . and the long scary flowers that look like they want to suck face.
Are we the heathens?? So long as they served the crazy good fish n chips to us it doesn’t matter what they call us!
Enzo and Maya look-alikes. Did you want to put one in your back-pack and call it a day?
Wanted to take all of them … but it would be quite difficult to travel around with 25 Bullies in the campervan!
