Cape Palliser

We camped for a couple days near Cape Palliser, which is the southern most point on the north island of New Zealand. The Cape is a rocky peninsula known for bountiful marine life, especially the vast seal colonies that bask on its sunny shore.

No harbor with boat docks, just lots of tractors with boat trailers hauled up on the beach!
Friendly locals camping next to us went Abalone (Paua) diving and shared their catch with us. Small but tasty!
