Bryce Canyon National Park

While taking the sunny, southern route homewards, we made a side trip into Bryce Canyon. The fantastic hoodoos in the valleys of this canyon are created from eroding sedimentary rocks. These intricate spires decorated with various layers of multicolored rock form an other worldly atmosphere. Indeed, the trail we hiked down to the canyon floor was appropriately named Fairyland Trail! It was easy to imagine fairies and other fanciful creatures living amongst these strange and beautiful structures.

  1. I’m sad already. At least I know there’s been more than one big flake on Penny Lane 😉
