Back to Granada

We decided to go back to Granada because we didn’t have time to visit the Generalife on our last visit.

The Palacio de Generalife is perched on the hillside just above the Alhambra, and has sweeping views over the city of Granada and the Alhambra. The Generalife was thought to be the home and gardens of the architect of the Alhambra during the rein of Sultan Muhammed II, and later Muhammed III in the late 13th century. After Muhammed III’s rule, it became the summer palace and country estate of the Nasrid rulers of the Emirate of Granada. The title Generalife derives from the Arabic words Jannat al-‘Arīf, which translates to the Architects Garden.

Here are a couple picture galleries from our visit : )
