A few of our friends were going to be in Paris in the beginning of August, so we decided to meet up with them. It was a very long train ride from Granada to Paris though, so we spent a night in the French city of Nîmes, which was about halfway to Paris.
The city of Nîmes was an important outpost for the Roman Empire, and has quite a few very well preserved monuments dating back to the 1st century A.D.
